Back in March of 2010, Motley Crue’s unassuming guitarist Mick Mars took to his Twitter account to let fans know that he’s working on a solo album.

It’s been more than a year since the announcement and fans are anxiously awaiting the word on any official release date or title, but the elusive axe-slinger continues to drop tasty tidbits on his Twitter account that fans are gobbling up -  from potential collaborators to possible sound and style.

On Thursday (Sept. 8), Mars tweeted that he was in the studio with Twiggy Ramirez of Marilyn Manson fame and now it seems that everyone wants in on the action!

Shortly after his tweet, drummer Josh Freese (world class drummer who's played with everyone from A Perfect Circle to Nine Inch Nails to Devo) responded by posturing for a role on the album, as well, and Mars seemed more than receptive to the notion, “We need a drummer, like maybe youuuuu!”

While Mars didn't confirm or deny if this studio session was for his upcoming solo release, we can only cross our fingers and speculate.

Another confirmed participant is Andy Biersack of the theatrical rock band Black Veil Brides, a huge fan of both Motley Crue and Mars who is inspired by both their music and their style. “He's a hero of mine so getting to meet him and just having the opportunity to be around him has been a great experience. He’s very supportive of our band,” reports Biersack in a recent interview with Loudwire.

Biersack was tight-lipped about the release, noting only, “I can’t wait to hear his full album.  In terms of this record, he’s really worked with heavy hitters in the rock and metal industry.”

As the list of guest stars starts to grow, who else would you like to see Mick Mars collaborate with?
