Orange County, Calif. is known for its punk scene, and one of the pioneers of that movement is Mike Ness. The SoCal rocker founded Social Distortion in 1978 and hasn't looked back since. By 1983, the band landed a record deal and the 'Mommy's Little Monster' album put them on the map.

With several lineup changes, Mike Ness has been the one constant driving Social Distortion for more than 30 years. With songs like 'Prison Bound,' 'Story of My Life,'  and 'Ball and Chain,' Ness has overcome battles with addiction and has written some of punk rock's best tunes. Social Distorion continue to be a popular touring and recording act, while Ness has also taken time to occasionally issue a solo album.
