Miss May I ‘Turn Back the Time’ With New Video

Miss May I have unleashed their new video for "Turn Back the Time," the third song from their latest album, Deathless, on Rise Records. The lyrical content leaves no mystery, forgoing metaphors and getting straight to the point. The video plays into the theme, cutting between the band and a man confused by what is happening around him.

"Turn Back the Time" is about being able to revisit the past and do it all over again, taking a different angle to make up for mistakes that had been made. In the video, a man walks around discovering things happening in reverse. Not only is the time on the clocks going backwards, water is flowing in reverse into the faucet from the sink, the dog is slurping water back into the bowl, a woman is sucking water from her flowers back into the hose as the flowers take on a more deathly hue and a mailman is even putting mail back into his messenger bag!

After seeing a glow emitting from underneath a door that leads to the basement of his house, the man creeps down the stairs and discovers the source of the madness. A clock is sitting on the ground with the operative hands spinning counterclockwise rapidly. He smashes the clock against the cement floor and breathes a sigh of relief having stopped the puzzling insanity.

Deathless came out on Aug. 7 and peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard 200, shifting over 9,000 copies in its first week.
