Rockers We’ve Lost in 2013: Hate’s Slawek ‘Mortifer’ Archangielskij

Hate bassist Slawek ‘Mortifer’ Archangielskij passed away suddenly on the night of April 5 / morning of April 6 at the age of 27. The veteran Polish death metal act was in the middle of a European tour at the time, but after Mortifier was found lifeless, Hate cancelled all remaining dates.

Mortifer joined Hate in 2007, remaining on board with the band to record ‘Erebos’ in 2010 and ‘Solarflesh: A Gospel of Radiant Divinity’ in 2013. The bassist also was a member of Polish metal act Naumachia and played guitar for yet another blackened death metal band, Saltus.
