Motorhead vs. Death – Metal Madness 2013, Round 1

Motorhead vs. Death
Mercury / Relapse

In our quest to find the greatest metal album of all time, March Metal Madness 2013 brings together another duo of masterful records that fans have a chance to vote to the very peak. In this Stage Dive Region round 1 matchup, we’ve got two of metal’s most influential bands.

Motorhead step into battle with arguably their most legendary album, ‘Ace of Spaces.’ Along with the iconic title track, the 1980 album consists of fan favorites such as ‘The Hammer’ and ‘(We Are) The Road Crew.’ Can Lemmy and the boys defeat their first opponents?

It wasn’t easy choosing which album should represent death metal blueprinters Death, but after much discussion, the band’s fourth full-length, ‘Human,’ was picked for March Metal Madness 2013. With ‘Suicide Machine,’ ‘Flattening of Emotions’ and even a cover of the KISS classic ‘God of Thunder,’ Death’s ‘Human’ will forever be a death metal gem.

Motorhead’s ‘Ace of Spades’ or Death’s ‘Human’? Vote for your favorite album in the poll below!

(This poll will end on Monday, March 18 at 11:59 PM EST. Fans are able to vote once per hour, so keep coming back to make sure your favorite album wins!)
