Tired of seeing the same old videos? Apparently not, as certain types of clips keep resurfacing just with different faces and sounds. And this is something that isn't lost on Nekrogoblikon, as they turn the same old tropes on their head with the new clip for "We Need a Gimmick."

"For the last three years, Scorpion, Bready, Raptor, Fingers, Diamond Joe, John Goblikon, and I have been trying to come up with some kind of schtick to gain more notoriety for Nekrogoblikon,” explained guitarist Goldberg. “This video documents the process of us figuring that out."

The George Nienhuis-directed clip finds demonic mascot John Goblikon re-watching the band's 2011 video for "No One Survives," an inventive clip about his day-to-day life as a goblin, and wondering how to get the views that some of the top Internet clips get.

Goblikon then presents the band with his "Guide on How to Blow Up the Internet" and what follows is a series of shoots with the band pulling from the likes of Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z's "Suit and Tie" clip, making their own generic rap video, attempting a bright colored EDM promo and even donning the corpse paint for a violently bloody Satantic black metal clip. Take a look at the hilarious video above.

"We Need a Gimmick" is featured on the band's Heavy Meta album. The disc is currently available at iTunes and also in CD and vinyl formats at this location.
