New Rock + Metal Releases

Looking for some early Christmas presents to buy the rock and metal fans in your life? Well there are a number of solid albums, DVDs and books hitting stores in November 2011, including new CDs from metal powerhouses Megadeth, Metallica and Disturbed, to name a few.

On Nov. 1, Megadeth return with their 13th album, 'TH1RT3EN,' which features the recently released single 'Public Enemy No. 1.' That same day also sees the release of Metallica's joint effort with classic rocker Lou Reed - the experimental album 'Lulu.'

The following week, 'Disturbed' unleash 'The Lost Children,' an album of B-Sides and rarities that includes the recent single 'Hell.'

Fast-forward to Nov. 21 for new albums by radio-friendly rockers Nickelback and Daughtry.

If you're more of a reader, new books by or about Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl are coming out. And for those looking to watch some rock, check out the Ozzy Osbourne documentary or the Slash live DVD.
