Armed with a brigade of rock, metal and electronic talent, Orion Music + More festival kicked off its weekend-long festival at Belle Isle in Detroit on Saturday (June 8), with Red Hot Chili Peppers closing out the evening.

Of course, the big story of the day was certainly the surprise set by Metallica, who played their entire 1983 debut album 'Kill 'Em All' at the Damage Inc. stage Saturday afternoon under the fake band name 'dehaan.' Get full details on that performance here. But there were also several other memorable sets by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, Silversun Pickups and more. Check out some choice photos from Saturday below, and stay tuned for more of our exclusive coverage of the Orion Music + More Festival.
