Black Sabbath's legendary frontman, Ozzy Osbourne, has undergone a serious change of heart when it comes to one final album from the seminal metal band. Metalheads are beginning to come to peace with the fact that it's no longer scheduled to happen, but Ozzy now believes "people aren't really interested in hearing new stuff."

Black Sabbath checked off an achievement 45 years in the making when 13 gave the band their first album to hit No. 1 on the U.S. album charts. This certainly proves that in 2013, fans were rabid about hearing new Black Sabbath material, but over two years later, Ozzy believes that dynamic has shifted.

In a new interview with Australia's News.com.au, Ozzy said, "It's the end of Sabbath and people have been asking, 'Well, I thought you were doing an album.' But the things we've discovered are — number one: People aren't really interested in hearing new stuff and number two: If we were to do an album before the tour, it would take three or four years to complete the album. We want to end it on a high note."

Ozzy added, "Just to be remembered is enough for me. I thought no one would remember me when we first started playing music. I’d rather end it now though than drag it out for another five albums." And just for the record, while this may be the end of Sabbath, it's not the end for Osbourne who reveals in the interview that he has plans for a solo record.

Black Sabbath's 'The End' tour will fill out a large chunk of 2016, so many fans will the the opportunity to see Sabbath for one last time. For the full list of tour dates, click here.
