Pearl Jam have been announced as one of the headliners of the Philadelphia-based Made in America Music Festival, which is being curated by rap superstar Jay-Z.

The grunge heavyweights have been added to the maiden voyage of the Brooklyn rapper's Made in America festival as the night one headliners, with Jay-Z himself headlining night two. The diverse festival is set for Labor Day weekend (Sept. 1 and 2) and will take place at Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Fairmount Park. Other artists on the bill include Skrillex, Miike Snow and Passion Pit amongst others, as well as more acts that will be announced at a later date.

In addition to the Midtown Music and Deluna festivals, Made in America is one of only three U.S. performances Pearl Jam have on the books for this year. The band will, however, take a jaunt through Europe beginning in late June. PJ are currently in the middle of recording their 10th studio album, which, according to a recent outlook from guitarist Mike McCready, will likely hit stores at some point in 2013.
