Post-hardcore icons Pierce the Veil released their fourth album, Misadventures, on May 13 and the record has secured the band's highest position on the Billboard 200 yet, landing at No. 4.

Misadventures moved 54,000 units (50,000 in pure album sales) in its first week of release. Not only did the new album land inside the Top 5, but it locked down the top spot on Billboard's Rock, Hard Rock, Alternative and Independent Albums charts as well as scoring the No. 5 slot on the Digital Albums chart. Right behind Pierce the Veil on the Hard Rock chart were Hatebreed, whose new album, The Concrete Confessional, sold 16,500 units. Meanwhile, DevilDriver's Trust No One moved 12,000 discs.

Things are only looking up for Pierce the Veil as they have just locked in a June 27 appearance on late night TV show Conan. The band joins a list of rock and metal acts to have appeared on the program this year, including Eagles of Death Metal and Disturbed. The group will be performing their single "Circles," which has brought in over 3 million streams to date, lighting up the British airwaves as BBC Radio-1 has dubbed it "The Hottest Record in the World."

Fans can catch the band playing all of Misadventures on their upcoming tour, which kicks off June 5 in Las Vegas and a list of dates can be found here.

In an interview with Loudwire, frontman Vic Fuentes discussed playing the album in full, stating, "Our first tour back, we’re calling it the 'Misadventures Tour' and we’re going to play the entire record back to front on that tour. It was just something we’ve never tried to do before and we wanted to give our fans a once in a lifetime performance that will never happen again. Something unique that we can come out with."

Revealing where the inspiration came from, Fuentes added, "My dad was saying, back in the ’70s, a lot of bands would do that. They’d have a new album and they would just play it. We really wanted to do that, and we’ve been touring on our last record for — we went on it for like four years. I think the time has come to really come strong with new music."
