Pierce the Veil confirmed that they have "something really special" coming in a new Tweet. Whether it is new music, tour plans or something else entirely remains unclear. Frontman Vic Fuentes quoted a tweet from radio station 91X that read, "*is patiently waiting for @piercetheveil to drop a single.*" Fuentes responded via Pierce's official Twitter account, saying, "Love you guys! I promise we’re working on something really special for you." You can check out the exchange below.

Last Nov., drummer Mike Fuentes (Vic's brother) was accused of sexual relations with a minor. In Dec., the band addressed the allegations in an official statement that revealed Mike would be taking a "break" from Pierce. The group as a whole, however, have been nearly inactive since the statement. It is unclear whether Mike will be in the band when they return.

Pierce last released music in 2017, which was an EP for their single "Today I Saw the Whole World." The effort featured the track's album version alongside an acoustic take. Their last album, Misadventures, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, selling 54,000 total units in its first week of release.
