As one of the most pulverizing grind bands on the planet, Pig Destroyer gave the world a dose of metal mastery with 'Book Burner.' Pig Destroyer fans were rabid for a new album since the release of 'Phantom Limb' in 2007, with one of the longest feeling five-year waits ever.

With Scott Hull manning both the guitar and the soundboard, he continued the Pig Destroyer tradition of never allowing two albums to sound the same in terms of production; this time giving the record a more raw hardcore feel rather than continuing the overwhelming and progressive psychosis of their last three records. The band brought friends from Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Misery Index into the studio with them, adding to the incredibly diverse piece of brutality.
