Michigan rockers Pop Evil turned up the heat in New York City with their recent headlining show at Gramercy Theater.

Pop Evil have been making waves everywhere they go and with every album they make. Much of the night's setlist was made up of fresh tracks off of their new album ‘Onyx.’ Their performance began with new tunes ‘Flawed’ and ‘Behind Close Doors.’

The band as a whole has an energetic stage presence and bassist Mat DiRito moves so rapidly onstage, it almost looks like rock 'n' roll aerobics. The band's intimate, sweat filled set was a treat for their die-hard fans.

The night ended as it began, with a block of newer material, as frontman Leigh Kakaty and company poured everything they had into songs like ‘Sick Sense,’ ‘Deal With the Devil’ and the fans favorite ‘Trenches.’

Support throughout the night included sets by South Carolina act Islander, Ohio alternative rock group Red Sun Rising and California hard rockers Letters From the Fire.
