Could we be getting closer to finally having a new Queens of the Stone Age album? It appears that way as the group has updated their website to feature a splash page that offers brief instrumental snippets every time the page is refreshed. In addition, after several refreshes, the site offers the messages "June" and  "… Like Clockwork" under the artwork on the page.

Could '... Like Clockwork' be the title of the new Queens of the Stone Age album? It's possible given how much the band has referenced clocks in their hand-written messages to several websites. It's also likely that the band have now narrowed their release date to the month of June, but at this point, it's all still speculation as nothing has been confirmed.

As for what fans are getting on QOTSA's official website, there's several snippets that randomly play every time the site is refreshed. One appears to sound like street noises. Another sounds like a guitar taking off and fading out. There are also a couple of clips that seem to showcase Dave Grohl's percussion and a jangly sounding piece, as well. Head on over to the band's qotsa.com website here to check it out.

The next Queens of the Stone Age album is expected to feature a number of big name guests. Grohl is drumming on the entire album, while Elton JohnNine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor, former Queens of the Stone Age members Nick Oliveri and Mark Lanegan and the Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears are reportedly contributing to the effort.
