No. 28: Rammstein, ‘Feuer Frei!’ – Top 21st Century Metal Songs

Motor

German industrial metallers Rammstein may always be known as the ‘Du Hast’ guys, but the enigmatic act released some awesome material in the 2000s, including the blazing song ‘Feuer Frei!’

‘Feuer Frei!’ is a German military command to ‘fire at will’ or ‘open fire,’ and was featured prominently in the opening scene of the movie ‘xXx.’ Simply put, there is no band that will ever, or can ever, follow Rammstein when it comes to what they do, and the all-German ‘Feuer Frei!’ is one of the ultimate validations of that very statement.
