If you head over to VEVO.com and catch AFI frontman Davey Havok and Rancid singer-guitarist Lars Fredriksen in a new musical horror anthology ‘Tim Timebomb’s RockNRoll Theater,’ you're not hallucinating. Tim Timebomb is Rancid's Tim Armstrong and 'RockNRoll Theater’ is a new original serous he created with Kevin Kerslake of Mirror Films.

Each episode features songs by Armstrong coupled with colorful dance numbers and dark story lines. The pilot episode, ‘Dante,’ is a modern spin on Dante Alighieri’s 14th Century Epic Poem. Future episodes will feature other guest stars and as in the first, Armstrong will narrate the twisted drama Alfred Hitchcock-style.

Armstrong’s background in musical theater dates back to high school. “I did the lights for ‘South Pacific’ and ‘Oklahoma!’ he tells Vevo.com. “I was the lighting technician. Spots, blue gels, everything. I wanted to be involved with the performing arts even before I was playing shows. South Pacific is one of those classic American musicals, but Rocky Horror Picture Show is more my thing -- that is a wild ride.”

The rocker’s love of classic horror goes back even further: “Bob Wilkin’s ‘Creature Feature’ played ‘Night of the Living Dead’ in ’71 in the Bay Area. It was the first time it aired in America, and we got to see it on our regional horror channel. My two older brothers, and my mom, eating popcorn and drinking soda.’

'Tim Timebomb’s RockNRoll Theater’ is the first scripted piece of original programming to be featured on VEVO, which also features 45,000 music videos and live concerts. Watch Part 1 of the first episode 'Dante' below and the remaining parts of the episode here.
