Red Fang and Cancer Bats rocked New York’s Bowery Ballroom on Wednesday night (Dec.11). Stellar support included performances from Indian Handcrafts and the Shrine.

Oregon rock act Red Fang, who have just been booked to play 'Late Show With David Letterman' on Jan. 10, have been on the road nonstop in promotion of their latest record ‘Whales and Leeches.’ Fans moshed around and crowd surfed to new tracks ‘No Hope,’ ‘Crows In Swine’ and their latest single ‘Blood Like Cream.' The audience also rocked out to old favorites ‘Prehistoric Dog’ and ‘Wires.’

The Canadians of Cancer Bats were used to the chilly weather outside but heated things up inside Bowery Ballroom. It turned into a hardcore show rather quickly as soon the band hit the stage and everyone unleashed during the act's rendition of the Beastie Boys anthem ‘Sabotage.’

[Side Note: If you can catch Bat Sabbath, where Cancer Bats transform and cover Black Sabbath classics, please do so. They destroyed Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn the night after the Bowery Ballroom gig.]

Support included bands Indian Handcrafts and the Shrine, both of which had a Black Sabbath-y, Led Zeppelin-y sound. Their sets were a great start to a night filled with some serious riffage.
