Chart-topping hip-hop artist Post Malone hit the stage with rock icons the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards to perform the band's track "Dark Necessities" from 2016's The Getaway.

Before being joined by the Chili Peppers, Posty performed a stripped-down version of "Stay" with Malone playing an acoustic guitar and his 2017 hit single "Rockstar."

Malone is nominated for four Grammy Awards including Best Rap/Sung Performance and Record of the Year for “Rockstar” and the coveted Album of the Year for Beerbongs & Bentleys.

This is not the rapper's first time performing with a rock band at an awards show. He closed MTV's 2018 VMAs with a dual performance that nobody saw coming.

Malone opened the segment with his hit single "Rockstar" alongside fellow rapper 21 Savage. At the end of the song, the stage rose and Malone played guitar and sang on both "Dream On" and "Toys in the Attic" with Aerosmith.
