Red Sun Rising have announced a new EP Peel and a 2019 headlining tour. The EP consists of four tracks -- three new renditions of previous tracks from their albums Polyester Zeal and Thread in addition to a cover of the Beach Boys' "Wouldn't it Be Nice."

Peel reinvents the tunes and brings them to life in a refreshing new manner with melodic acoustic guitars and a stronger spotlight on Mike Protich's strong vocals. The EP will be available Mar. 22 and can be pre-ordered here. Listen to Peel's version of the Thread song "Left for Dead" below.

Red Sun Rising will be embarking on a headlining tour beginning Mar. 21 in Louisville, Kentucky through mid April. The band will be supported by Goodbye June and Dirty Honey.

"We tour so we can play our music live," Red Sun Rising says. "By doing so, we can create something real right in front of you every single night. There's a thrill to it; an exploration of new arrangements to pump fresh blood into the set. That's what 'The Peel Tour' is all about. Creating and re-creating. The core is the same of you just peel back the new layers." See the tour dates and track listing for Peel below.

2018 was a successful year for Red Sun Rising's sophomore album Thread as the lead single "Deathwish" rose to number seven on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
