Swedish hardcore punk outfit Refused were expecting to play a handful of U.S. dates in November, but the band revealed that unforeseen circumstances will keep them from traveling to the West Coast.

The group had scheduled a run that included shows in Pomona, Los Angeles and Oakland, Calif., as well as Portland and Seattle between the dates of Nov. 23-28. But according to a new post from the band, the members' hectic schedule that includes family life, side jobs and other musical projects has led to an unexpected scheduling conflict and no clear alternative. The band issued a statement on the matter that can be read below.

Hey
America has always been way beyond kind to us and we were really looking forward to this up and coming tour but sometimes the plans of 5 people don’t come together as you want them to.
If you know us you know that we are a busy bunch and Refused is far from the only thing that we are working on in this hectic life.
In between families and other jobs and projects(Kris is right now premiering his version of Rigolleto at Norrlandsoperan and Dennis just finished a week of touring with INVSN) it is sometimes hard to get the schedule to work as you want it to.
A very unexpected personal scheduling conflict arose that we been trying hard to maneuver around but to no luck. For that we are very very sorry.
We didn’t want to pull these dates but sometimes you are a stuck in between a rock and hard place.
We hope that we can return and make it up for you sooner then later.
Thanks for caring and once again we are really sorry.
Hopefully we will see you all soon!!
Until then
Stay wild!
Love
