The band quickly established themselves as one of metal's pioneers in the '70s, but by 1991, Halford would exit the band amidst growing tensions. The next decade-plus found Halford launching intriguing projects like Fight, 2wo and Halford before eventually reconciling with Judas Priest in 2003.
