Rob Halford vs. Randy Blythe – President of Heavy Metal Election, Round 1
We feel a bit bad pitting Rob Halford against Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, as they share much mutual admiration. In our recent interview with Halford, he gave Blythe some post-prison advice. “I can’t wait to hear him channel this into the music," says Halford. "Man, that next Lamb of God record is going to be like a nuclear bomb, because he’s going to be venting."
But there's still an election to be won, and what better candidate than the Metal God himself Rob Halford. As the iconic frontman for Judas Priest, Halford is a metal legend. He's seen and lived it all in metal, and is among the most intelligent men in not only heavy metal, but all of music.
Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe is one of the heavyweights of modern metal, and has been one of the most outspoken figures in the music industry. To say the least, he's seen his share of the international political and justice system in action, so his recent experiences would certainly give him the backbone to lead the metal universe as its President.
