John William Lowery, also known as John 5, is widely recognized for his eclectic and diverse abilities on the guitar. The guitarist is now celebrating the release of his newest single 'Beat It,' an instrumental tribute to the late Michael Jackson.

'Beat It' is the first single from John 5's sixth album, 'God Told Me To.' Although the album itself has not yet been released, 'Beat It' was just made available for download. The release date of the single was chosen to correspond with what would have been Michael Jackson's 53rd birthday on Aug. 29.

John 5 is one of the most highly regarded guitarists on the planet, which makes it all the more refreshing that he dedicates himself to keeping in close contact with his fans. He has even invited followers and non-followers alike to give their feedback on 'Beat It' via a poll on his website. So far, John 5 fans have been digging the MJ cover with 94 percent positive feedback as of this posting.
