Things may be cooling down a bit once September hits, but how much does anything really cool down in the desert? Keeping the temperatures high on Sept. 28 and 29 in Phoenix will be the inaugural Desert Uprising two-day festival.

The Ashley Furniture Homestore Pavilion will play host to some of rock's biggest names over two nights. Opening night features headliner Rob Zombie, who stated via his website that Desert Uprising will be the opening date of his fall tour, with more shows to be announced shortly.

Joining Zombie on the Sept. 28 bill will be Marilyn Manson, Stone Sour, Buckcherry, and Art of Dying on the main stage, with All That Remains, New Medicine, Red Line Chemistry, and Otherwise playing the Nationwide Vision Festival Stage.

The second night finds the Uproar Festival coming to town, with Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach, and Adelitas Way all playing the main stage. P.O.D., Fozzy, and Mindset Revolution will entertain fans on the Ernie Ball Festival Stage, while Deuce, Redlight King, and Candlelight Red will all perform on the Jagermeister Festival Stage.

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 14. See the Desert Uprising festival website for ticketing details.
