Scott Columbus was the longtime drummer for one of power metal's most important acts, Manowar. The drummer spent 21 years with the band with a four year hiatus from 1991-1995. Columbus' cause of death has not been publicly announced, but Manowar bassist and creative leader Joey DeMaio paid tribute to his bandmate during a show in the Netherlands. "Scott Columbus was our brother and your brother in metal," said DeMaio. "He was a father, and he was a friend. And he was a great musician, and he was a great guy. And he had a heart of gold."
