After releasing his solo album 'Proof of Life' earlier this month, Creed singer Scott Stapp has announced that he will hit the road in support of the disc beginning in March (dates below). In addition, the video for 'Slow Suicide,' the album's first single, has just been released (watch above).

Stapp draws from real life on the song and the video, as he tells Fuse:. “It’s an autobiography exactly as it happened. There’s no embellishment; if anything, it’s toned down from reality. It was a real cathartic experience. I got to see what alcohol and drugs did to me, but I got to see it from a clear place shooting this video. I got to sit back and say, ‘My god, my wife and my family were in the hospital and I looked like that [in real life].’ The other scenarios were all me bringing closure to my life.”

The tour kicks off March 19 in Dallas. Pre-sale tickets are VIP Meet and Greet packages are available here. The public on-sale date is Saturday (Nov. 23).

After the recent devastation in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan, Stapp announced that he will donate 10 percent of all online merchandise sales through his merch store to Music For Relief. The organization was founded by Linkin Park after the Indian Ocean tsunami struck South Asia in 2004 to aid survivors of natural disasters, and its mission also includes environmental restoration and protection as a means of disaster risk mitigation.
