Sebastian Bach and Duff McKagan have crossed paths many a time over the years, and during a private event in Los Angeles Thursday night (May 28), the pair found themselves onstage playing a cover of "Patience" from McKagan's old band Guns N' Roses. Watch the footage above.

Though McKagan is no longer with Guns N' Roses, he has managed to remain friendly with GN'R frontman Axl Rose. He first reunited with Rose and the current lineup at a show in London in 2010 marking the first time he'd played with Guns N' Roses since 1993. In 2011, McKagan's band Loaded opened shows for Guns N' Roses and he again joined GN'R onstage. In 2014, the bassist served as a fill-in for GN'R on their South American dates when Tommy Stinson was otherwise committed to Replacements performances.

As for Bach, he too has remained close with Rose dating back to his early days with Skid Row. Bach has been a guest at GN'R shows and opened for Guns N' Roses. And bringing it full circle, Bach had McKagan as a special guest on his most recent solo album, 2014's Give 'Em Hell.

At present, McKagan has been on the road promoting his How to Be a Man book and issued a three-song EP in coordination with the book's recent release. Bach, meanwhile, has continued to support his album and will be on the road in June for the "18 and Live" trek. See his upcoming dates here.
