Senses Fail Soar at Highline Ballroom in NYC With Such Gold, Real Friends + Major League
New Jersey outfit Senses Fail rocked their tri-state neighbors in New York City last night (May 9) at Highline Ballroom with help from Such Gold, Real Friends and Major League.
Senses Fail bring a certain intensity onstage and it’s no surprise seeing the forcefulness and passion of their fans. With over a decade of music under their belt and five studio albums, the band is touring in support of their new album ‘Renacer.’ They performed new songs from the disc such as the title track, ‘Canine,’ ‘Mi Amor,’ ‘The Path’ and ‘Frost Flower.’
The intimate crowd shook the foundation of Highline Ballroom to the test as the crowd surfed nonstop and belted out favorites such as ‘Shark Attack,’ ‘Can’t Be Saved,’ ‘Bonecrusher’ ‘Rum Is For Drinking, Not For Burning’ and ‘Bite to Break Skin.’
In front of the door to the entrance into the main room of Highline Ballroom there was a sign that said “No Moshing” during the night one security guard stated, “There’s supposed to be no moshing, how are we supposed to stop that?” Let’s just say with the energy of that crowd they couldn’t. New York natives Such Gold rocked the house and definitely got the crowd moving with their dynamic set.
Chicago band Real Friends were truly real friends to crowd surfers as frontman Dan Lambton graciously helped surfers who stumbled onto the stage up to their feet. The band was incredibly entertaining and even got mosh pits going during their performance and they ended their set in the classiest way possible, with a circle pit in remembrance of Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman as they played a snipped of ‘Raining Blood.’
The New Jersians of Major League kicked off the night with a great performance which got the blood pumping early on. For a full list of remaining dates to see Senses Fail on the road, go here.
