We've got a classic thrash matchup in the Headbanger Region of Quarterfinals of the 2016 Extreme Metal Olympics! It's Brazil vs. Germany as Sepultura's highly influential Beneath the Remains faces Kreator's Teutonic terror in Pleasure to Kill!

In Round 1, Sepultura matched up against Canada's Kataklysm where Beneath the Remains took on the groove-laden Shadows and Dust. With roughly 75 percent of the votes, the Brazilian thrash outfit coasted to victory, but things may not be as easy this time around. Home to some of the most loyal and die hard fans in metal, the band will likely need all the votes they can get to secure entry into the Semifinals.

Kreator proved their Pleasure to Kill, dominating Belgium's Aborted and their Goremageddon: The Saw and the Carnage Done record. Taking home about 80 percent of the votes, the German legends were just too powerful for Aborted to overrun. Hoping to find Sepultura "Under the Guillotine," Kreator seek to keep their kill streak alive.

Which album will move on to the Semifinals of the 2016 Extreme Metal Olympics? Vote for either Sepultura's Beneath the Remains or Kreator's Pleasure to Kill in the poll below and check out a song from each album beneath the poll if you're unfamiliar.
