Shinedown vs. Breaking Benjamin – Cage Match

After scraping by with a victory over Sevendust the week prior, Shinedown's "Cut the Cord" enjoyed an easier path this past week as they earned a decisive victory of All That Remains' "For You" en route to their fourth straight Cage Match victory. It's somehow fitting that as the band goes for a Cage Match Hall of Fame entry, the band standing in their way is one they'll be very close to in the coming months.

That's right … it's Breaking Benjamin and their current single "Angels Fall." The band's second single from the Dark Before Dawn has already hopped into the top 10, just like it's predecessor "Failure." And fans can expect to hear the song finding its way into set lists when Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown team up for one of the fall's most anticipated package tours, with support from Sevendust on most dates. But first there's the matter of a little friendly competition and potential bragging rights when they set out on the road together. If Shinedown wins, they'll be retired to the Cage Match Hall of Fame. If Breaking Benjamin wins, they'll advance to face a new opponent and could be on the path to having another song join their recent Cage Match Hall of Fame entry "Failure."
