ShipRocked will once again be hitting the high seas in early 2014, giving plenty of music-loving fans a break from the wintry months with a great hard rock and metal soundtrack to their vacation.

Though the lineup for the 2014 event has yet to be revealed, organizers have given fans a chance to bank of their track record of excellence to go ahead and book their travel for the week of Jan. 26-30, 2014. The rock cruise will set sail out of the Port of Miami and head toward ShipRocked's own "private island." Those participating will get a chance to enjoy two full days of concerts and activities on a private beach on Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.

The island comes with its own large performance area on the beach, along with the opportunities to go parasailing, snorkeling, canoeing or other fun beach activities. This coming year's event also finds ShipRocked employing a vessel change, as passengers will board the Norwegian Pearl, with travel guide Frommer's calls "one of the most original mainstream megaships." It includes 16 dining options, 13 bars and lounges, a casino, spa, fitness center, bowling alley, rock climbing wall, sports courts, two pools, a waterslide, hot tubs and more.

In addition, as previously reported, ShipRocked branched out into land-based excursions, announcing the inaugural 2013 ShipRocked Summer Camp. The event will take place in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Connecticut June 14-16, with 10 Years, Pop Evil and Andy Wood's North Star Band leading the entertainment.
