Sick Puppies fans can begin circling the middle of July on their calendars as not only will the band's 'Connect' album finally arrive in stores on July 16, but the group also just shot a live performance for Walmart customers. The trio was in Los Angeles' Tuesday night (July 2) to film a set for that will turn up on the Walmart Soundcheck Risers website July 15, a day ahead of the 'Connect' album's release.

The group took over Los Angeles' El Rey Theater for the performance, which included a mixture of older favorites and standout new cuts like the title track of their new album 'Connect' and their fist-pumping new single 'There's No Going Back.' T-Mobile backed the show, which granted fans free access to the show in return for texting and social networking promotion.

The band alternated between a full-on rock show and a more intimate set in which they brought out 'All the Same' and the aforementioned 'Connect.' Tracks like 'Riptide,' 'Odd One,' 'Maybe' and 'War' also generated great audience response, while 'You're Going Down' provided a pummeling finish to the performance.

Be on the lookout for the Sick Puppies Walmart Soundcheck Risers web-based performance, debuting online July 15, coinciding with the July 16 street date of the band's latest effort, 'Connect,' which you can pre-order here.
