Jeff Fabb, known for his work with Black Label Society and In This Moment, is the drummer featured on Sixx: A.M.’s new album ‘Modern Vintage.’ The percussionist will also be behind the kit for the band’s first live show in nearly five years next Tuesday (Oct. 7) in Burbank, Calif.

In an article on Legendary Rock Interviews Sixx: A.M. guitarist DJ Ashba said that Jeff Fabb played drums on their new album and that he will join the band for its upcoming record release concert. “He is actually out with Black Label Society right now. He is an incredible drummer," Ashba said. “It was a lot of fun to work with him and we were really happy to have him on the record. He agreed to come in and do the show with us, which just makes sense.”

Sixx: A.M. will perform their first concert in over five years on Oct. 7, the same day the band releases their new album ‘Modern Vintage.’ The show will be broadcast live on iHeart Radio and select Clear Channel radio stations. Following the performance, Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba and James Michael will do a Q&A session to talk about their new album and to make a ‘big announcement.’

In the interview, Ashba also opened up about the band’s first time recording with a live drummer -- in lieu of programming percussion -- saying, “It was the first album where we actually felt it was important to capture that big album vibe we were going after. To bring in a live drummer, it really made a huge difference, you know, it gave the whole entire album and songs a new breath of fresh air, which was really cool!”

DJ Ashba, who also plays guitar for Guns N’ Roses, gave an update on the notorious band, saying, “We are planning on doing quite a bit of touring this coming year. The focus is getting in a studio and putting together what we all feel is the best Guns N’ Roses record.” He added, “Lack of material is not an issue. We have tons of stuff. Axl has two full albums that he has recorded, he has played me a bunch of songs that are incredible! I can’t wait to get in and kind of dive into those as well. I’ve written tons of songs and demoed up a bunch of stuff. I think it is just a matter of getting in and sifting through the piles of material.”

Fans can enter to win a chance to attend Sixx A.M.’s record release concert here. Those unable to make it can listen live on iHeartRadio at 10 PM ET on Oct. 7. As mentioned, Sixx: A.M. will release ‘Modern Vintage’ on Oct. 7. Fans can pre-order the effort on iTunes and Amazon.
