Last month, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and her actor husband Josh Duhamel announced that they had named their son Axl. It's not a very common name, and Fergie has said she's a big Guns N’ Roses fan, meaning the kid was likely named after Axl Rose. This week, TMZ caught up with Slash and asked him his thoughts on the name (watch video above).

Slash and Axl Rose haven't exactly been the best of friends over the years. However, Slash and Fergie are friends. She co-wrote and sang the song 'Beautiful Dangerous' on his 2010 self-titled album. So is the top-hatted one offended they named the kid Axl and not Slash?

Not at all. He told TMZ, ""I think it's really cool, I actually talked to [Fergie and Josh] yesterday. It's all good ... who am I to judge?"

Slash is in the midst of promoting 'Nothing Left to Fear,’ a film that he produced through his production company, Slasher Films. He also composed the film's score with Nick O'Toole along with two original songs. One of those features vocalist Myles Kennedy.

The soundtrack will be released on Oct. 4, the same day the film is released in select theaters.
