Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators Soar in New York City
Slash (and his famous top hat) headlined Terminal 5 in New York City with his bandmates Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. The guitar legend and his crew are out on tour in support of their latest album World on Fire.
Slash, Myles Kennedy and the crew wasted no time as they kicked things into high gear with “You’re a Lie” followed by the Guns N’ Roses classic “Nightrain.”
The band heated things up with the undeniably contagious “Wicked Stone,” “Beneath the Savage Sun” and “Bent to Fly” off of World On Fire. Vocalist Myles Kennedy filled Terminal 5 with the limitless range of his voice.
With face-melting solos that lasted well over 10 minutes and mesmerizing guitar riffs, fans were in awe and worked up a sweat just watching Slash shred.
One of the Conspirators, bassist Todd Kearns, provided vocals on the track “Doctor Alibi” and the crowd lost their minds as Kearns also belted out “Welcome to the Jungle.”
The very special encore included guest vocalist and former contestant on The Voice, Kimberly Nichole, who sang the Jimi Hendrix classic “Hey Joe.” The night ended as everyone sang out “Take me down to the paradise city / Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty…” from the notable Guns N’ Roses tune “Paradise City.”
The youngsters of Unlocking the Truth opened up the night. The Brooklyn boys got a warm response from their hometown crowd.
