Slayer's last album, 'World Painted Blood,' arrived in 2009, but a lot has gone on with the band since then. Following Jeff Hanneman's death and Dave Lombardo's dismissal, there's been some significant change within the group. However, Slayer have made a transition with the help of guitarist Gary Holt and drummer Paul Bostaph. Now, after finding their groove live, the band is back working on a new album.

The band revealed their first new song in five years earlier this spring when they debuted the track 'Implode' at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. But further evidence of the group working on new music just surfaced in the form of a photo from the studio.

The shot, which shows guitarist Kerry King from behind as he hovers over a studio console can been seen in the posting below:

The posting is also captioned with the hashtag #SlayerAlbum15. Earlier this year the band stated that they had signed to Nuclear Blast and were planning to release their next album in 2015. Aside from the photo, nothing further is known in terms of their progress.

However, the band will return to the road in November and December, sharing stages with Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus. Dates can be found here.
