Slayer were entered into our first Death Match since we brought it back from hiatus, and with a four-win streak, the legendary thrashers have entered the Death Match Hall of Fame with the ripping track "Repentless."

Slayer's path to the Hall wasn't an easy one, the thrash titans first staved off Lamb of God in a close battle, only to just squeak past the Black Dahlia Murder with 53.34 percent of the total vote. Next up was Cattle Decapitation and although the tech death act is smaller in scale, Cattle Decap fans showed up in droves, coming close to defeating Slayer after acquiring nearly 42 percent of all votes.

Finally, Slayer bested Dark Tranquillity by a healthy margin to gain the iconic act's first induction into our Death Match Hall of Fame! Congrats to Slayer and Slayer fans everywhere. To celebrate, turn up your speakers and crank Slayer's "Repentless" in the player above!
