Three up, three down! Slayer are now just one victory away from becoming the latest Death Match Hall of Fame entrant with their thrashing new single, 'Implode.' It was a hard fought victory, as Mastodon's 'Chimes at Midnight' put up a valiant fight before coming up short. So who stands in Slayer's way?

Fellow thrash metal vets Overkill are up to the challenge. The band just released the blistering new track 'Armorist' from their upcoming 'White Devil Armory' album and it's clear that Bobby Blitz's vocals and the band's knack for incendiary guitar licks are as powerful now as they were when the band started back in the '80s.

So turn your dial up to 11 and let both tracks blare out! Then tell us if Slayer's 'Implode' grabs your ear or you think Overkill deserve to start a Death Match streak of their own with 'Armorist' by voting in the poll below.
