Corey Taylor recently sat down with Dread Central and during an interview about the new horror film ‘Fear Clinic’ (seen in the player above), Taylor revealed his plans to possibly produce and direct a feature film.

The rocker revealed that his interest in the big screen was growing even before the 'Fear Clinic' film. "I was actually working on this before I did 'Fear Clinic,' just in a production capacity right now," says Taylor. "I'm trying to sneak myself a role in it, just a little one, which I'll probably do a little more of. But it's exciting. It doesn't have a title yet. The script is done.”

He added, “We're gonna try to break ground on it next year. 'Cause it's been a long time coming. Now it's getting very real … and it's looking really good, man."

The Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman also discusses the possibility of getting behind the camera to direct a film. "The funny thing is, I kind of got a taste for it and I have ideas all the time.” Taylor added, “I came up with an idea for a script that I actually am almost done with; I've got about 80 pages done, which is, basically, a good start. And it's like a horror-comedy, to be honest. It's almost like 'Halloween' meets the movie 'Clue.’”

As for his acting, Taylor says he got the bug to do more after appearing in music videos. “I didn't know if I was gonna be any good," says the rocker. "I still don't know if I'm any good, but it was one of those things … even if I only get to do the one, it's just one of those things I can point to and be, like, 'I got to do that.' So I was pretty fortunate to be able to be a part of this."

‘Fear Clinic’ stars Robert Englund, best known for the iconic role of ‘Freddy Krueger’ from ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street.’ He plays a doctor who treats patients afflicted with phobias by inducing hallucinations inside a Fear Chamber. ‘Fear Clinic’ is in theaters now. Check your local listings.

Meanwhile, Slipknot’s new album ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart selling over 131,000 copies. Taylor also recently appeared on Larry King Now and showed off his new mask for the legendary interviewer.

Slipknot are out on the road with Korn. They take the stage tonight (Nov. 6) in Omaha, Neb. For all their upcoming tour dates click here.
