Stone Temple Pilots are wasting no time getting back in the public eye after their recently split with singer Chester Bennington. Though they revealed they had worked with different singers behind the scenes of late, there is one vocalist who will be taking the stage with the band tonight -- Joss Stone.

The soulful, powerful pop star will join Stone Temple Pilots as part of Jimmy Kimmel Live's "Mash-Up Mondays" performance series. Kimmel recently started "Mash-Up Mondays" as a way to offer unique and often pun-related one-off supergroups. Tonight (Nov. 9) will bring the "Joss Stone Temple Pilots" to the Kimmel stage, though it is not known what the band will play as of yet. The late night talk show airs at 11:35PM ET/PT on ABC.

As stated, Stone Temple Pilots are in the process of seeking a new singer for real. After it was revealed that Bennington recently exited the group, a statement from both the singer and the remaining band members revealed that they had amicably parted ways.

Bennington has been fitting in time with Stone Temple Pilots during periods of inactivity for his other band Linkin Park. They released one EP together and reportedly have been writing for a new album, but both sides came to the conclusion that Bennington did not have enough time to continue as the group's frontman moving forward.

The band offered in their part of the statement, "There is an abundance of new music written, some of which is already recorded. We have had the fortune of playing with some very talented singers over the last few months and will continue to do so until each of us feels and knows when the right person arrives."
