Suffocation’s ‘Pierced From Within’ Gets ‘Radio Disney’ Cover by Andy Rehfeldt

Musical super genius and mix-master Andy Rehfeldt has created another ‘Radio Disney’ cover of a metal classic. This time, the track tackled is “Pierced From Within” by the blueprinters of brutal death metal, Suffocation.

Some of Andy Rehfeldt’s greatest hits include ‘Radio Disney’ remixes of Slipknot‘s “Wait and Bleed,” Cannibal Corpse‘s “Hammer Smashed Face” and Slayer‘s “Angel of Death.” Rehfeldt arguably does his best work with extreme metal, so Suffocation was an obvious choice for a hilarious new video.

Suffocation’s Frank Mullen is one of the most intense vocalists in death metal history and is often credited as the man who pioneered the low-pitched death metal guttural. So to have Mullen’s vocal track reworked to sound like Kermit the Frog is an instant recipe for Internet gold. Who wouldn’t appreciate lyrics like, “Sodomize my cross for it now marks your existence / Dismissal of lucivity, consume my body and blood” being tailored for kids?! That’s what Radio Disney is all about, after all.

Check out Suffocation’s ‘Radio Disney’ version of “Pierced From Within” in the clip above!
