Evil ran rampant in New York City on Saturday night (Apr. 19) as Behemoth, 1349, Goatwhore, Inquisition and Black Crown Initiate stormed the gates of Irving Plaza. With the Metal Alliance Tour in full effect and a sold-out crowd packing the venue, metalheads were in for a treat that would end in epic fashion.
The Metal Alliance tour is quickly becoming one of the most essential metal experiences in North America. Last year, the tour was heavy on thrash, but in 2014, the theme is black metal. Behemoth have just been announced as the tour's headlining act with Goatwhore, 1349, Inquisition and Black Crown Initiate supporting.
On June 3, pure Satanic and blasphemous Scandinavian black metal came to New York City, as Marduk and 1349 carried the black flame into the Music Hall of Williamsburg. The bands lured in a devoted and eccentric group of fans to the show, creating an unforgettable night -- for better or for worse.
