The year is young, but it's already been quite the roller-coaster ride for Lacuna Coil. Not only are the Italian metallers gearing up for the release of the new album ‘Broken Crown Halo’ (due out April 1), they recently announced the retirement of their longtime guitarist Cris “Pizza” Migliore and drummer Cristiano “Criz” Mozzati. Not to mention, Lacuna Coil are also a part of Revolver’s Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock Tour.
Last week, it was revealed that Lacuna Coil had backed out of the 2014 ShipRocked Cruise. The band cited "very serious personal family matters" as the reason for pulling out, and in a new open letter posted today (Dec. 31) from vocalist Cristina Scabbia, we may have a better understanding as to why Lacuna Coil decided to skip the rock cruise.
It's not exactly common in rock to see a band with two vocalists, but Lacuna Coil have made it work over the years, with a both the female (Cristina Scabbia) and male (Andrea Ferro) perspectives getting a shared amount of time. Still, questions come up from time to time about if Scabbia might consider a solo record.
Cristina Scabbia rocks out every time she's onstage with Lacuna Coil, and all that performing requires some proper fuel. We’re talking real food, not processed, mystery ingredients. Speaking with Gilles Lartigot of “Heavy Metal Food” on the Radio Metal website, Scabbia chatted about food, which she calls one of her "biggest passions,” and what kind of grub she and the guys of Lacuna Coil crave on tour.
