Ever since their latest album ‘Dark Adrenaline’ dropped, Lacuna Coil have been touring nonstop. Fans in the States were lucky enough to catch the Italian metalers on tour with Sevendust this spring. During their New York City stop, co-vocalists Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro stopped by the Loudwire studio for a video interview (watch below).
New York City was rocked hard last night (April 17) at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square, as Sevendust's co-headlining tour with Coal Chamber rolled in with support from Lacuna Coil and Stolen Babies.
Sad news for metal fans everywhere: founding Lacuna Coil guitarist Claudio Leo, who also played for Italian metal band Cayne, has passed away.
Sevendust are teaming up with the reunited Coal Chamber for a 2013 U.S. tour. The two bands will be supported directly by Lacuna Coil, with Candlelight Red and Stolen Babies splitting opening duties.
Lacuna Coil’s one-two punch of Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro have no problem sharing vocal duties throughout the band’s latest disc ‘Dark Adrenaline,’ so it comes as no surprise that the two would share the spotlight in their new video for the single ‘End of Time.’
Lacuna Coil have enjoyed a solid year touring behind their 'Dark Adrenaline' album and it looks as though 2013 will start off on a high note, as well. The band has just announced a February run with Sevendust that will keep them in the U.S. for the entire month.
Lacuna Coil are making sure their faithful followers are able to keep up with the latest news from the band by launching their own social network-fan community. The group teamed with Mobile Backstage to create the application, which will allow fans easier access to all kinds of Lacuna Coil information.
It's not exactly common in rock to see a band with two vocalists, but Lacuna Coil have made it work over the years, with a both the female (Cristina Scabbia) and male (Andrea Ferro) perspectives getting a shared amount of time. Still, questions come up from time to time about if Scabbia might consider a solo record.
Congrats are in order for Lacuna Coil co-vocalist Andrea Ferro, who got married over the weekend to his longtime love, Paola Penny Gigliotti.
