There's the phrase "Don't Mess With Texas," but there should be a new one: "Don't Mess With Axl Rose."
During their performance Saturday night (Dec. 17) at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the Guns N' Roses' frontman took matters into his own hands when he had security remove an unruly fan from the crowd.
Legendary Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose received a special honor during the band's Dec. 13 show in Utah. West Valley City Mayor Mike Winder walked onstage about an hour into Guns' set and presented Axl Rose with the key to the city.
After a few weeks of hype, Season 9 of VH1 Classic's 'That Metal Show' kicked off last night (which isn't its regular night, mind you) with the mother of all interviews and on National Metal Day. The camera-shy, elusive W. Axl Rose agreed to a sit down with Eddie Trunk and co. in the early morning hours in Miami. He was rather candid and shared his thoughts on his lateness and lawsuits. He also revealed his original idea for the 'Appetite for Destruction' cover.
The ninth season of VH1 Classic's 'That Metal Show' will launch on National Metal Day (11-11-11) and it kicks off with the biggest of all "gets" in terms of interviews, as Guns N' Roses singer W. Axl Rose sat down with the hosts for an early morning chat a few weeks back.
Guns N' Roses members are chatting away about the status of the band with local newspapers as the band traipses across the country on tour, playing at arenas. First, guitarist DJ Ashba revealed to the Omaha World Herald that his boss, the often temperamental and tardy W. Axl Rose, is "an amazing friend" who is "loyal and honest" and who treats him like gold. That's a bit of a contrast to Rose's public persona, but Ashba appears to love the man her performs with and who writes his checks! He also shared some news about upcoming GN'R material!
We're still a long ways away from a full-scale Guns N' Roses reunion, since Slash would still rather stomp on the olive branch than hand it to frontman Axl Rose, but some factions of the Guns camp are making nice. Rose will be sharing stages in the near future with former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, revealed Rose in his interview with 'That Metal Show' set to air Nov. 11.
It's Axl Rose's world and we all just live in it and play by his rules, even in 2011. Apparently, the temperamental and interview-shy Rose, who is famous for his tardiness and doing things on his clock and whenever the hell he feels like it, granted an hour-long interview to Eddie Trunk of VH1 Classic's 'That Metal Show' in the wee hours of this morning (Oct. 30). The interview took place at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Fla., around 7 in the morning!
