On Sept. 13, 1993, Nirvana released what would become their final studio album, 'In Utero.' The influence of 'In Utero' and the rest of Nirvana's discography are still very present, and many celebrated rock and metal acts have teamed up to record 'In Utero: In Tribute' just in time for Record Store Day.
The Rock Star Energy Drink Uproar Festival touched down in Irvine, Calif., on Friday, Sept. 13, and despite the tradition of the day, it was a lucky one for all fans in attendance. One of the more popular alt rock festivals in the country, over the years Uproar has featured such headliners as Shinedown and Avenged Sevenfold. On this year's run, veteran acts Jane’s Addiction and Alice in Chains would be delivering the big blows on main stage, but before that assault, there was plenty of interesting action happening earlier on the hot and sunny afternoon at the smaller festival stages located on a hill adjacent to the main arena.
The 2013 Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival is well under way, with Jane's Addiction and Alice In Chains leading the charge. The eclectic lineup also features Coheed & Cambria and Circa Survive on the main stage, with Walking Papers, Danko Jones, Middle Class Rut and others rounding out the bill.
The summer just got a whole lot louder with the kick off of the 2013 Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival. The roving rock 'n’ roll spectacle, now in its fourth year, has quickly become one of the most anticipated tours of the summer for rock fans. This year’s trek rolled into the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Conn., on Saturday, Aug. 10 for an all-day rock marathon.
