Dave Mustaine - Page 10
If an actual war took place between rap fans and metalheads, which side would emerge victorious after the bloody battle was fought? Metalheads, of course! This weekend, metal fans will be able to team with Megadeth's Dave Mustaine and Korn's Jonathan Davis for an online 'Battlefield 3' tournament against a team of hip-hop henchmen.
Legendary guitar God Dave Mustaine recently lent his name to a new app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch called, 'Dave Mustaine: Guitar Prodigy.' The app is designed to teach fans how to play Megadeth songs on any guitar. Mustaine spoke with Noisecreep about the new technology and why he jumped on board.
Metallica played their fourth and final "intimate" anniversary show for fan club members last night (Dec. 10) at the Fillmore in San Francisco. The band has been performing and releasing previously unheard songs from 2008's 'Death Magnetic' with each show as well as inviting some key guests from 'Tallica's history to perform with them. Last night, they debuted 'Rebel of Babylon' and brought former guitarist Dave Mustaine, ex-bassists Jason Newsted and Ron McGovney (he pre-dates Cliff Burton) and Hugh Tanner, who was in Leather Charm with James Hetfield and McGovney, on stage.
Megadeth guru Dave Mustaine was the lead guest on last night's episode of 'That Metal Show' (Dec. 3). He spoke about having to have neck surgery, which almost cost the band its appearance at the Big Four show in New York in September. Mustaine soldiered on with the heart of a champion and played through the pain. He has had the surgery, is feeling better and even showed the scar last night. How metal!
While some rockers including Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello support the Occupy Wall Street movement, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine considers the protest a sham and accuses President Barack Obama of contributing to the turmoil by being “the most divisive president we’ve ever had.”
