Deftones are set to release one of the year's most anticipated albums, 'Koi No Yokan,' on Nov. 13. The band have tossed around many different styles since their beginnings, leaving fans to anxiously question what they should expect from the experimental group. If any doubts existed about 'Koi No Yokan,' the album's first unveiled track, 'Leathers,' stomped it all out.
It's a great day to be a Deftones fan! The eclectic rock band have announced the track listing for their hugely anticipated seventh full-length, 'Koi No Yokan.' Not only that, but Deftones are offering the new track 'Leathers' as a free download with no catch whatsoever on the band's website. It also can be heard in the player below.
Deftones have confirmed that their seventh studio album is titled 'Koi No Yokan,' and it will be released on Nov. 13. The 'Tones, who spent a chunk of their summer on the road with System of a Down, will support 'Koi No Yokan' with a headline tour. They will be joined by special guests Scars on Broadway, featuring SOAD guitarist Daron Malakian.
Deftones have put in the work, and now they're going to have a little fun on top of it by recording a few cover songs. Singer Chino Moreno, interviewed by Minnesota radio station 93X prior to Knotfest, revealed that the group's forthcoming album has been recorded and they're now making plans for the covers.
Hot on the heels of premiering the new song 'Rosemary,' Deftones shared another new jam called 'Roller Derby.' The 'Tones performed both 'Rosemary' and 'Roller Derby' last night (July 28) at another gig at the Troubadour in Hollywood. You can view live footage of both songs, which are expected to appear on the band's upcoming album, below.
