Deftones have confirmed that their seventh studio album is titled 'Koi No Yokan,' and it will be released on Nov. 13. The 'Tones, who spent a chunk of their summer on the road with System of a Down, will support 'Koi No Yokan' with a headline tour. They will be joined by special guests Scars on Broadway, featuring SOAD guitarist Daron Malakian.
Deftones have put in the work, and now they're going to have a little fun on top of it by recording a few cover songs. Singer Chino Moreno, interviewed by Minnesota radio station 93X prior to Knotfest, revealed that the group's forthcoming album has been recorded and they're now making plans for the covers.

Deftones bassist Chi Cheng, who has spent nearly four years in and out of hospitals in a comatose or semiconscious state stemming from a 2008 car crash, may be returning home imminently after a recent diagnosis of pneumonia put him back in the hospital in June.
Deftones have made quick work of their next record. The band, who enjoyed a boost with their 'Diamond Eyes' album, recently returned to the studio and has finished writing and recording their still-untitled follow-up.
Very few acts have the ability to mix hard rock and ambient beauty like Deftones. 'Change (In the House of Flies)' is one of the 21st century's greatest examples of how true creativity and ingenuity can triumph over formulaic, radio-friendly products.
